Removing decimal places-

= \frac{2500}{10.5} * \frac{10}{10}

=\frac{25000}{105}

= \frac{5000}{21}

Solution:-

Given :-

a) ribbon is 25m long

b) width of ribbon is 10.5 cm (given in fig)

Find :-

a) how many bookmarks raju can make from 25 m ribbon.

now,

we know 1 m = 100 cm

so, 25 m = 2500 cm .....( 1 )

To find how many bookmarks raju can make from 25 m ribbon.

let, bookmarks be, X

Hence

=> X = (ribbon is 25m long)/(width of ribbon is 10.5 cm )

[ from ( 1 )]

=> X = 2500/10.5

=> X = (2500 × 10)/(10.5×10)

=> X = 25000/105

=> X = 5000/21

=> X = 238.0952381

approximately we can write it as

=> X = 238

Hence, raju can make 238 bookmarks from 25 m ribbon.
