Step-by-step explanation:

Given three points A , C and B on a line such that AC=BC

 \tt \underset{A}{ | }  \frac{  \qquad \qquad \qquad}{}   \underset{C}{ | }  \frac{\qquad \qquad \qquad}{} \underset{B}{ | }

By Euclid's Axiom 2, we know that if equals be added t o equals then the wholes are equal.

\[ \begin{array}{l} \tt \therefore A C=C B \\ \\  \Rightarrow \tt A C+A C=C B+A C(\because \text { By Euclid's Axion } 4, A C  \tt +C B=A B) \\  \\ \tt \Rightarrow 2 A C=A B \\ \\ \displaystyle  \tt \Rightarrow A C=\frac{1}{2} A B \end{array} \]

Hence Proved.
