Answer: Commodification and privatization of health care increased the health care cost in Kerala. The incidence of communicable, non- communicable, life style and chronic diseases created problems in our health system. The high out-of-pocket expenditure on health leads to poverty and indebtedness.

ആരോഗ്യ സംരക്ഷണത്തിന്റെ ചരക്കുവൽക്കരണവും സ്വകാര്യവൽക്കരണവും കേരളത്തിലെ ആരോഗ്യ പരിപാലനച്ചെലവ് വർദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചു. സാംക്രമിക, സാംക്രമികേതര, ജീവിതശൈലി, വിട്ടുമാറാത്ത രോഗങ്ങൾ എന്നിവ നമ്മുടെ ആരോഗ്യ വ്യവസ്ഥയിൽ പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു. ആരോഗ്യത്തിനുവേണ്ടിയുള്ള ഉയർന്ന ചെലവ് ദാരിദ്ര്യത്തിലേക്കും കടബാധ്യതയിലേക്കും നയിക്കുന്നു.
