According to question,

 \frac{1}{2}  +  \frac{1}{3}  + x = 4

 =  >  \frac{3 + 2}{6}  + x = 4

 =  >  \frac{5}{6}  + x = 4

 =  > x = 4 -  \frac{5}{6}

 =  > x =  \frac{24 - 5}{24}

 =  > x =  \frac{19}{24}
