Answer:

YES YOUR ANSWER IS CORRECT. SEE HOW

Step-by-step explanation:

1) SAMARTH'S HEIGHT IS = 1 M 20 CM

VIGNESH HEIGHTS IS = 90 CM

AS WE ALL KNOW RATIO IS TO COMPARE THINGS IN SAME UNIT BY USING DIVIDE SIGN.

SO, 1 M 20 CM IS IN M AND CM BUT 90 CM IS IN CM.

SO TO MAKE THEM SAME UNIT, WE HAVE TO DO

1 M 20 CM = (1*100+20) CM = 120 CM

NOW BOTH LENGTHS ARE IN SAME UNIT.

SO, 120/90 = 120÷30/90÷30 = 4/3 = 4:3

2) SAMARTH AND VIGNESH DECIDED TO DIVIDE 35 TOFFEES IN THE RATIO OF THEIR HEIGHTS = 2:3

Q - HOW MANY TOFFEES WILL SAMARTH AND VIGNESH GET?

ANS = SUM OF THE TERMS OF THE RATIO = 4+3 = 7

SAMARTH'S TOFFEES = (4/7*35) = 20

VIGNESH'S TOFFEES = (3/7*35) = 15
