please give me some practical examples in your own words of mid brain and fore brain​

Assume you are walking with your dog in a garden filled with flowers and leaves. Coming to biology, our mid brain receives the visual information and process it , at the same time it coordinates your walking movement.

While walking you see a flower - your fore brain which is associated with cognitive ability helps you identify the flowers as hibiscus (say). The fore brain is involved in cognitive ability and  sensory functions.
