Hello friend

1)The only secret to excel in social science is to understand the essence of any passage . I have done well in social science and people ask me the reason or the trick behind it . But it's simple you need not learn those lengthy boring answers . Treat this subject as a story . You have to fascinate yourself with those stories of kings and their strategies . You should never learn those answers you should know what actually happened and what each chapter tries to convey . And then try to frame your own answers ,that's all . This will also help you to write lengthier answers .
2)You should have some facts or information about the topic which you can elaborate upon .there are innumerable dates given in the book they all are not important ( if u believe me ) they hardly ask any date until it's very important ! Like they would only ask dates for 'Battle of Plassy' ,'JaliawalaBagh massacre ' etc. So I would recommend not to memories the dates.
3) Take help of guides - not to learn answers but to understand the important topics which can come in exams so you need to focus only on those topics .
4) you must know how to write long try to twist your sentence and write a long answer for the same content.
