Explanation :

Given,

<DAB = 50

AB = 8 cm

AD = 5 cm

Note : we have Taken angle as symbol '<'

a) Find the length of BC and CD

Solution → BC ≈ AD

In parallelogram,

( Two pairs of opposite sides are equal in length )

and AD = 5cm is given

so, BC = 5 cm

According to this we can find CD from AB

therefore, CD = 8 cm.

b. Find the measure of angle <ABC, <BCD, <CDA

solution

given <DAB = 50

so, According to property of parallelogram Adjacent angles are supplementary i.e. measure is 180

< DAB + < ABC = 180

50 + < ABC = 180

< ABC = 130

2. < BCD

< BCD < DAB

< BCD = 50

( Two pairs of opposite angles are equal in measure)

congurent.

3. < CDA

< CDA < ABC = 130

c. The diagonals bisects each other.

One pair of opposite sides is parallel and equal in length.
