Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Rear wheel diameter D=2R

Front wheel diameter d=2r

Rear wheel made x revolutions

Then front wheel makes x+120 revolutions

If rear wheel diameter increased by 1.5 times of original then

new diameter is D+1.5D= 2.5D

Front wheel diameter is doubled then new diameter is 2d

NEW revolutions of rear wheel are y

Front wheel revolutions y+20

Circumference of rear wheel

Is 2πR=720/x ---(a)

Cucumference of front wheel

Is 2πr=720/(x+120)----(b)

Cucumference of rear wheel

Is 2π(2.5R)=720/y

Cucumference of front wheel

Is 2π(2r)=720/(y+20)

2×720/(x+120)=720/(y+20)

2y+40=x+120

2y-x=80-----(1)

2.5×720/x=720/y

5y=2x----(2)

Substitute (2) in (1)

Y= -160

Then X= -400

Substitute in (a) and (b)

Check it wether it is correct or not bcz I got -ve values
