given that ∆ABC~ ∆ PQR....

then ....

AB/PQ= BC/QR=AC/PR...

Now in ∆ABD & ∆PQM...

AB= PQ( given..the triangles are similar)

/ADB = /PMQ (angle opposite to the equal sides are equal)

Given,...

BC= QR (both the triangle are similer)

then,.

1/2 BC= 1/2 QR

BD= QM...

Thus by SAS congurense ∆ABD congurent to ∆PQM......

so...now..,

AD/PM= AB/ PQ..(by theorem 6.3)

#hence proved....
