the two word processors i am going to use are:
- Microsoft office word 2007
- wordpad
First let us see the features of microsoft word 2007:
1. Save as PDF : you can save any document in a portable document format using microsoft office word 2007. just go to the office button; next go to the save as and you can find a arrow mark there. there you can save the file in the form of PDF or XPS.
2. Making changes : once you have saved a document, you can go make changes in the document. when you are exiting it will ask whether to save changes. that time you can save your changes.
3. Resizing images : if you have copied and pasted images from web, then you can change the size and position of the image.
4. Ribbon bar : if you come to the ribbon bar that is the top bar which contains so many options. to say it is a very good bar.
5.pre-created charts and tables : if you want to add some charts or tables then you can use word. there are many pre created things available here.
next let us see some features of wordpad:
1. zoom : the wordpad enables us to zoom between 10 % and 500%. this is a good feature.
2. file formats : the wordpad enables us to save files in the format of documents (docx) , text (txt) and many more.
3. ribbon bar : even wordpad has the ribbon bar. this also has some good options but it is not as good as that of microsoft word 2007.
4. inserting paint drawing : in the ribbon bar you can find the option insert drawing. with this option you can add paint drawings.you can draw and insert drawings like that of done in paint.
5. main menu : the main menu offers different options like print, send in e-mail , etc.
now let us see the differences between microsoft office word 2007 and wordpad :
- in the ribbon bar of wordpad there are only home and view but in microsoft office word 2007 there are home, insert, page layout, references,mailings,review and view.
- in word tables you can do calculations in table but you cant do it in wordpad.
