*Number of moles = Mass ÷ Molar mass

i) 392g of sulphuric acid (H₂SO₄)

392g ÷ [1(2) + 32 + 16(4)] = 4 moles

ii) 6.022 × 10²³ molecules of oxygen (O₂)

6.022 × 10²³ molecules = 1 mole

iii) 9g of aluminium (Al)

9g ÷ 27 = 0.333 moles

iv) 12g of silver (Ag)

12g ÷ 108 = 0.111 moles

v) 0.6g of magnesium (Mg)

0.6g ÷ 24 = 0.025 moles

nancy215: the formula of sulphuric acid is wrong . IT IS H2SO4
MelissaTan: The edit has been made. Thanks for pointing it out!

1. 392/98= 4 mole

2. 6.022*10^23/6.022*10^23=1 mole

3. 9/23=0.3 moles approx

4. 12/107=0.11 moles approx

5. 0.6/24=0.025 moles

i have not written details and formula. we will take too much time. the formulae are given in books.

nancy215: ok
