Answer:

Explanation:

Given :

For Boy :

weight of boy W₁ = 40 kgf = 40 x 9.8 N = 392 N

Displacement in vertical direction s₁ = 15 x 15 cm =225 cm = 2.25 m

Time taken to climb t₁ = 10 s

Work done by boy  is (W.D)₁ =  W₁ x s₁ = 392 x 2.25 = 882 N m

Power developed by boy P₁ = W.D/t = 882/10 = 88.2 W

For Girl :

weight of boy W₂ = 20 kgf = 20 x 9.8 N = 196 N

Displacement in vertical direction s₂ = 15 x 15 cm =225 cm = 2.25 m

Time taken to climb t₂ = 5 s

Work done by girl  is (W.D)₂ =  W₂ x s₂ = 196 x 2.25 = 441 N m

Power developed by girl P₂ = W.D/t = 441/5 = 88.2 W

∴Work done by boy is double the work done by the girl

and

Power developed by both of them are same.
