f(x) is not onto function

f(x) = 3 {x}^{3}  - 3

We cannot get "(-1)"

f(x) = 3 {x}^{3}  - 3

3 {x}^{3}  - 3 = ( - 1)

3 {x}^{3}  =  - 1 + 3 = 2

3 {x}^{3}  = 2

 {x}^{3}  =  \frac{2}{3}

x =  \sqrt[3]{ \frac{2}{3} }

It is not possible because

 \sqrt[3]{ \frac{2}{3} }  \notin \: z

So, it is not onto function

(EXTRA INFORMATION)

Onto function :-

RANGE = CO-DOMAIN
