GUJARATI LITERATURE :

literature of the Gujarati language, a major tongue of india. The oldest examples of gujarati literature date from the writings of the 12th century jain scholar and saint hemachandra. The language had fully developed by the late 12th Century.

SANSKRIT LITERATURE :

Sanstrit literature boardly comprises texts composed in the earliest attested descendant of the proto-indo-aryan language known as vedic sanskrit by pāņini usually called classical Sanskrit.

BUDDHIST LITERATURE :

The earliest buddhist texts were passed down orally in middle indo-aryan languages called prakrits, including Gāndhārī language, the early magadhan language and pali thought the use of repetition, communal recitation and mnemonic devices. These texts were later compiled into canons and written down in manuscripts.

DRAVIDIAN LITERATURE :

Of the four literary dravidian languages, tamil has been recorded earliest, followed by kannada, telugu, malayalam. Tamil literature has a classical tradition of its own, while the literature of the other languages have been influenced by sanskrit models.
