Tiny pores allow water to flow out and solid crystals which are larger than pores in size,stay behind on the paper itself. ... Therefore we use sublimation flask to separate a sublime solid from one which is not sublime. We do this by placing the sublimation flask on mixture of solid and then heating the two.
