The word manuscript means a book or a document. 
The collection of manuscript was found in 1931 in Gilgit. It contains many Buddhist text like four sutras from Buddhist cannon which also include Lotus Sutra. This manuscript is written on the birch bark. It covers the massive range of themes including folk tales, philosophy, medicine and covers the several area of life and general knowledge things.
