Formula Time
Lateral Surface Area of Cylinder = 2 π r h
where r is radius of cylinder and h is height of cylinder

Sol :

Visualise only the label part forget about the other left over part then you can find that the label is also put up on the sides of a cylinder.

The height for the label part will be (20-2-2) cm
2 times -2 because it is left on both sides.

Radius of that part is same as whole cylinder I.e. 14÷2 = 7 cm

Area of Label = Lateral surface area

=> Area of label = 2 π r h
= 2 × 22/7 × 7 × 16
= 704 cm^2
