Answer:

12 days

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

(A+B+C) can plough a field in = 4 and 4/5days = 24/5 days

So, (A+B+C)’s 1 day work = 5/24

Now,

(A+C) can plough a field in = 8 days

So, (A+C)’s 1 day work = 1/8

∴B ’s 1 day's work = 5/24-1/8= 5-3/24

= 2/24= 1/12

∴ B can do the work in 12 days.

Answer:

Let x , y and z be the no.of days, A, B and C can do the work alone.

Hence we have = 1/(1/x + 1/y + 1/z) = 4 4/5

1/x + 1/y + 1/z = 5/24

1/x + 1/z = 1/8

Hence, 1/y = 5/24 - 1/8 = (5 - 3)/24

So, y = 24/2 = 12 days.
