 \sqrt{ {5}^{2} }  +  \sqrt{ {12}^{2} }   =  \sqrt{169 }  = 13

I think BD -13

THE ANSWER WILL BE 13CM

EXPLAINATION:

AS WE KNOW EVERY ANGLE IN A RECTANGLE IS OF 90°

SO

IF WE JOIN BD WE GET A TRIANGLE ABD

IN WHICH ANGLE BAD=90°

AND BD WILL BE HYPOTENUSE

SO

AS BD IS HYPOTENUSE

BD^2=AB^2+AD^2

NOW WE KNOW

OPPOSITE SIDES OF A RECTANGLE ARE EQUAL

SO BC =AD= 12 CM

NOW

BD^2=AB^2+AD^2

BD^2=5^2+12^2

=25+144

BD^2=169

BD=√169

BD=13CM
