Answer:

3. Given that Diameter of the Sun is 1.4 x 109 meters and Earth is 1.2768 x 107 meters.

Ratio of diameters of the sun to that of earth is = 1.4 x 109 : 1.2768 x 107

= 1.4 x 102 : 1.2768

= 140 : 1.2768.

= 70 : 0.6384

= 35 : 0.3192    (multiply 10000 each term)

= 350000 : 3192

= 175000 : 1596

= 87500 : 798

= 43750 : 399.

4. The size red blood cells =0.000007m

The size of plant cell=0.00001275m

Ratio= 0.000007m/0.00001275m

=7/1000000×100000000/1275

=700/1257

=140/255

=28/51

Therefore the ratio is 28:51

Answer:

Diameter of the sun is 1.4×10

9

m

Diameter of the earth is 1.2756×10

7

m

Diameter of the earth

Diameter of the sun

=

1.2756×10

7

1.4×10

9

=100

⟹ Diameter of the sun =100×Diameter of the Earth

Given, the size of red blood cell = 0.000007 m = 7 * 10-6 m

and the size of plant cell = 0.00001275 m = 1.275 * 10-5 m

Now, the approximate ratio of their size = (7 * 10-6 )/(1.275 * 10-5 )

= (7 * 10-6+5 )/1.275 [am /an = am-n]

= (7 * 10-1 )/1.275

= (7 * 1/10)/1.275

= (7/10)/1.275

= 0.7/1.275

= 0.7/1.3 [1.275 ≈ 1.3]

= 7/13

= 1/2 [approx.]

So, the approximate ratio of their size = 1 : 2
