Hey there !

__________

For converting galvanometer into ammeter Shunt resistor is used .

It is done by connecting a low resistance in parallel .

As a result when large current flows in a circuit only a small fraction of the current passes through the galvanometer and the remaining larger portion of current passes throygh the low resistance .

This low resistance connected with galvanometer in parallel is called shunt resistance .

Remember :- An ideal ammeter has zero resistance .

Rs = Rg Ig / I _ Ig

INSHALLAH IT WILL HELP U
