hence, x = 2∠psq

∠psq = x/2

similarly, ∠prq = x/2

now, ∠prq + ∠prl = 180  (linear pair)

∠prl = 180 - ∠prq

∠prl = 180 - x/2

similarly, ∠qsl = 180 - x/2

now, y = ∠smr   (vertically opp angles)

in quadrilateral LSMR,

∠prl + ∠qsl + ∠smr + z = 360

180 - x/2 + 180 - x/2 + y +z =360

-2x/2 + y + z = 360 -360

-x + y + z = 0

y + z = x

hence, ∠x = ∠y + ∠z
