The correct answer is (1) 44%.
Explanation & Reason:-

0^2 - v^2 = - 2as
or v^2 ∝s ; (v + 20v/ 100)^2 ∝s'
or s'/s = (1+20/100)^2
= 36/25 or (s'/s - 1)×100
=(36/25 -1) ×100 = 44
Hence 44% is the correct answer.

From above v² ∝ S

(v₁ / v₂)² = (S₁ / S₂)
(100 / 120)² = (100 / S₂)
25/36 = 100 / S₂
S₂ = 100 × (36 / 25)
S₂ = 144

Minimum distance in which it can be stopped is increased by = 144 - 100 = 44%
