Since, in a heavier body, the mass is more than a lighter body of equal volume, so it's density is also more.If we take 1kg of iron and 1 kg of cotton, Mass is same but volume occupied by each of them is different. Density is inversely proportional to volume. The higher the density, the lower the volume. Iron occupies less volume than cotton, that's why it has higher density comparatively to CottonGraph paper is used for measuring the area of an irregular object so that with the help of graph paper and the tiny boxes drawn on it, we can know the exact area of the object.
