Answer:

1.False

2.False

4.True

Explanation:

1.The weather in coastal areas isn't as cold as other regions due to the water. Large bodies of water act as a heat sink. They absorb heat all summer and in fall/winter, keep nearby areas warmer than areas away from the coast. Then as the water is slowly cooled through winter, the opposite occurs and the water keeps the coastal areas cooler in spring.

2.Heat does indeed rise. More specifically, a mass of air that is warmer than the air around it expands, becomes less dense, and will therefore float atop the cooler air. This is true at any altitude, and if this were the only factor at play, one would expect the atmosphere to get uniformly hotter with altitude, like the second floor of a house.

But of course, that’s not the only force at work. Gas also get cooler as its pressure drops, which it does as it rises up where there is less air pressing down on it. So when warm air rises, it cools off. That’s pretty significant here.

3.As latitude increases, the temperature falls, and vice versa. Generally, around the world, it gets warmer towards the equator and cooler towards the poles. However, other factors could influence the temperature in different locations such as altitude, precipitation, and ocean currents.

Hope this helps you☺................
