♠ What is Scalar Quantity ?

=> A physical quantity which has only magnitude and no direction is called as Scalar Quantity.

Examples of Scalar Quantity =>

Distance , Energy , Power , Time , Speed , Volume , Density , Pressure , Work , Charge , Electric Current , Specific heat , Temperature , Frequency , Mass etc.

=> A physical quantity which has magnitude as well as Direction is reffered to as Vector Quantity.

Examples of Vector Quantity =>

Displacement , Velocity , Torque , Position , Force , Weight , Acceleration , Electric Field , Impulse , Momentum , Magnetic Field , Current Density , Angular velocity etc.

scalar quantity - time, height, temperature, mass, length

vector quantity - velocity, force, speed, acceleration,direction, displacement
