Answer:

8x-4/6x-2=4/5

then cross multiplying we get,

40x-20=24x-8

now taking both coefficient of x to one side,

40x-24x=-8+20

16x=12

x=12/16

simplifying it, we get

x=3/4

hope it helps.

Question :

 \sf{Solve :  \frac{8x - 4}{6x - 2} =  \frac{4}{5}  }

Answer :

\implies\sf{ \frac{8x - 4}{6x - 2}  =  \frac{4}{5} }

Now we will cross multiply

\implies\sf{4(6x - 2) = 5(8x - 4)}

Multiplying all the terms

\implies\sf{24x - 8 = 40x - 20}

\implies\sf{24x   - 40x =  - 20 + 8 }

(-) sign cancelled from both sides

\implies\sf{ - 16x = - 12 }

\implies\sf{x =   \frac{12}{16}  \:= \frac{3}{4}}

\implies{\boxed {\sf{x = \frac{3}{4}}}} \green \bigstar
