I am actually trying to figure out, but I'm confused if '6)39' thing is the power or the value of theta inside cos? Could you please clarify?

But, in that case, there has to be a variable 'x' as well. Where is it?
What I mean to say is that, you can't simply write "cos^2" it doesn't make any sense
It has to be cos^2(x)
or simply put, cos^2(theta)
it is given 2cos to the power 6)39=1
