Solution:

100x+50y= 2500...(1)

now,

100y+50x= 2500-500

50x+100y= 2000....(2)

now,

first adding both equations,

100x+50y= 2500

+ 50x+100y= 2000

150x+ 150y= 4500

therefore

x+ y= 20....(3)....dividing by 150

also,

subtracting equal (2) from eqt(1)

100x+ 50y= 2500

- 50x- 100y= -2000

50x- 50y= 500

therefore,

x- y= 10....(4) ....dividing by 50

now,

adding both (3)&(4),

x+y= 20

+x-y= 10

2x = 30

x= 30/2= 15

substituting the value of x in (4)

x-y= 10

15- y= 10

-y= 10-15

-y= -5

y= 5

therefore,

x,y= 15,5
