1.a) Linguistic diversity is sometimes a specific measure of the density of language, or concentration of unique languages together. This diversity covers varied types of traits including language family, grammar, and vocabulary.

1.b) secular state is an idea pertaining to secularity, whereby a state is or purports to be officially neutral in matters of religion, supporting neither religion nor irreligion.[1] A secular state claims to treat all its citizens equally regardless of religion, and claims to avoid preferential treatment for a citizen based on their religious beliefs, affiliation or lack of either over those with other profiles.

2) India is called the 'Land of unity in diversity' because it consists of varied culture,customs etc. The main religions of India are- Janism , Sikhism , Zoroastrianism , Buddhism , Christanity. because India is home to many people with different religions,castes,cultures and traditions.
