Hi,
Rhizobium are the nitrogen fixing bacteria present in the root nodules of some plants like pulses(leguminous plants). They trap the nitrogen gas from the atmosphere and convert it into usable forms like nitrates and nitrites so that plants can use these to manufacture proteins for themselves.
They are symbionts because they are mutually dependent on plants for their survival as they also help plants in return of the same.
The difference between monocots and dicots :-
Monocots have single cotyledons in their embryo whereas Dicots have two cotyledons in their embryo.
Monocots and dicots also have different root and shoot designs.
