To prove that ∠ROS = 1/2 (∠QOS + ∠POS)

∠QOS = 180° - ∠POS   [Linear line is 180°]

90° = ∠QOS - ∠ROS

90° = 1/2(180°)

∴ 1/2(180°) = ∠QOS - ∠ROS

Now 180° = ∠QOS + ∠POS

∴ 1/2(∠QOS + ∠POS) = ∠QOS - ∠ROS

1/2(∠QOS) + 1/2(∠POS) = ∠QOS - ∠ROS

∠QOS - 1/2(∠QOS) - 1/2(∠POS) = ∠ROS

∠ROS = 1/2(∠QOS) + 1/2(∠POS)

∵∠ROS = 1/2(∠QOS + ∠POS)

Hence proved.
