Answer:

angle x is alternate angle of CDA

so , x = 42°

angle CED = 180 - 24 - 42

= 180 - 66

= 114°

angle CEA forms linear pair with CED

so, angle CEA + CED = 180°

CEA + 114° = 180°

CEA = 180 - 114

CEA = 66°

we know, angles opposite to equal sides of triangle are equal. in triangle ACE, AC = CE

so , their opposite angles which are :

angle CEA = CAE or y

66° = y

in triangle ACE sum of all angles = 180°

so ACE + CEA + EAC = 180

ACE or z + 66° + 66° = 180°

z = 180 -66 - 66

z = 180 - 132

z = 48°

Verification :

in triangle ACD u can check sum of all angles it will be 180° n this will be proof of my answer

hope it helps u...the answer is reliable
