Cost of a dozen gel pen is 290 and the cost of 7 ball pens is 210. Find the ratio of the cost of a gel pen to ball pen.

cost of dozen(12) Gel pens = Rs. 290
Cost of 1 Gel Pen= 290/12 = Rs. 145/6

Cost of 7 ball pen = Rs.210
Cost of 1 ball pen= rs.30

Ratio of Gel Pen:Ball pen
= (145/6):30.
cross multiply by6

145:(30x6)

=145:180
= 29:36. (dividing both by 5)
