Canal rays are Anode rays. A Beam of positive ions created by a type of gas in discharge tube.

Cathode rays on contrary is an electron beam.

hope it helps!!!!❤❤

Difference between cathode and canal rays:

Cathode rays:

Cathode rays are charged negative which is emitted from cathode. These rays are attracted towards positive plates of electric field. Cathode rays curve in particular direction when placed in magnetic field.

Canal rays:

Canal Rays are charged positive and they are not emitted from anode but they collide with Gas molecules within the chamber. These rays are attracted towards negative plates of electric field. Canal rays curve exactly in opposite direction.
