Answer:

Together they do (8+10)/(10*8) = 18/80 or 9/40th of the work. So the two together will harvest the field in 40/9 days or 4 and 4/9th of a day, that is less than 4.5 days.

hope it will help you army

Answer:

40/9 days .I.e 4 and 4/9 days

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

In 10 days,  farmer can reap a complete field.

So, In 1 day farmer can reap field = 1/10 portion

In 8 days farmer's wife can reap a complete field.

So, In 1 day farmer’s wife can reap field = 1/8 portion

Both farmer and his wife can reap field in 1 day = 1/10+1/8

portion

=4+5/40

=9/40

Now, 9/40 part of field is reap in 1day

∴ complete field is reap in 40/9days i.e. 4 and 4/9 days.
