"BANG" a sound came from near the staff room. The bang was followed by another ear splitting yell of children and teachers alike. I could see my class teacher rushing over to the nearest phone dialing the fire fighting department. Quite a scene I suppose. U s children were quickly shushed and pushed down to the stairs with class teachers having horrified looks on their faces. As we all came down we were welcomed with bright red trucks with blazing alarms and men in silver suits. Each one carrying a water hose, starting the building that caught fire. At the corner of my eye I saw my principal gasping out of breath while a few firefighters advise her to get out of there fast.unsurprisingly, she refused to do so. My principal has always been a role model to us all. It no surprise she would stay in and help. In a millisecond she grabbed a hose and started spraying the building with water,but then she did something very unexpected. She went inside! I couldn't see much more because we were sent home. Later that day on the news channels all the reporters speaking about this incident. Phrases like "she saved 37 children and 18 teachers" and "school principal takes part in rescue mission" were heard throughout. It was later said that she had received 1st degree burns and was in critical condition. And at that time nothing else mattered but her life, I prayed for her day and night until next morning at school it was announced that she had died. We all burst into tears, mutual ones. But I am glad that she did not die in vain. She died saving our future. She was a real role model. She was our hero.

Everything was calm and quite but suddenly a noise came, "BANG!" and our teachers and other students rushed out of the classrooms. These all took place in just a fraction of seconds. For some time I was just out of the world, fully unconscious. Then what i noticed is, the rustle bustle was due to the smoke coming from downstairs where our principal's room was situated. I got really frightened and in a hurry I just rushed out of the building. But then i got to know from others that most of the students and teachers were still trapped inside the campus. In a certain, the fire fighters came and without wasting a single minute they went inside the building with some fire extinguishers. They saw our principal and rescued her. She wasn't that conscious but she was knowing what she must do. She refused to be evacuated. Without caring for herself, she joined them in putting out the fire. Being selfless, she rushed inside the building to say other's lives. After everything was alright, in every news channel headlines flashed, "The principal of the school saves 37 children and 18 teachers." Everywhere people were talking about the bravery showed by her. But as a return, she was found with severe burn injuries. She was taken to the hospital as soon as possible. We all prayed a lot for her wellness. But it was sad to declare, she couldn't be saved. She was no more in this world. Tears rolled down of our eyes. But we were happy that her sacrifice didn't go in vain. She saved many lives by sacrificing her own life. She created a remarkable place for herself in everyone's heart. In her memory, a statue was being placed in front of the school campus. We all are proud of her. She was the real hero.
