Answer :-

x =  \left[\begin{array}{cc}3 &4  \\  - 1&7\\\end{array}\right]

Given :-

A=\begin{bmatrix}0&-1\\1&2\end{bmatrix}

B=\begin{bmatrix}1&2\\-1&1\end{bmatrix}

x-3B=2A

To find :-

Value of x

SOLUTION:-

As they given the condition

x - 3B = 2A From this ,

x = 2A + 3B

In place of A , B if we substitute the matrices then we get the value of A,B

x \:  = 2 \left[\begin{array}{cc}0&-1\\1&2\\\end{array}\right]  + 3 \left[\begin{array}{cc}1&2\\ - 1&1\\\end{array}\right]

Now multiplying these terms

x =  \left[\begin{array}{cc}0 \times 2&-1 \times 2\\1 \times 2&2 \times 2\\\end{array}\right]  +  \left[\begin{array}{cc}1 \times 3&2 \times 3\\ - 1 \times 3&1 \times 3\\\end{array}\right]

x =  \left[\begin{array}{cc}0 &-2  \\ 2&4\\\end{array}\right]  +  \left[\begin{array}{cc} 3&6\\ - 3&3\\\end{array}\right]

Now adding those matrices

x =  \left[\begin{array}{cc}0 + 3 &-2 + 6  \\ 2 - 3&4 + 3\\\end{array}\right]

\red{x =  \left[\begin{array}{cc}3 &4  \\  - 1&7\\\end{array}\right]}

Know more about Adding and subtracting matrices

If

X= \left[\begin{array}{cc}A&B\\C&D\\\end{array}\right]

Y= \left[\begin{array}{cc}E&F\\G&H\\\end{array}\right]

Now,

X + Y is nothing but adding the X matrice and Y matrice that is

X+Y= \left[\begin{array}{cc}A+E&B+F\\C+G&D+H\\\end{array}\right]

If

X= \left[\begin{array}{cc}A&B\\C&D\\\end{array}\right]

Y= \left[\begin{array}{cc}E&F\\G&H\\\end{array}\right]

Now,

X - Y is nothing but subtracting the X matrice and Y matrice that is

X+Y= \left[\begin{array}{cc}A-E&B-F\\C-G&D-H\\\end{array}\right]

Like this we can subtract or add the given matrices
