Answer:

63°

Step-by-step explanation:

Sin theta = 4/ 4.5

= 8/9

Theta = sin^-1 ( 8/9)

= 62.73

= 63°

so , 63° is the correct answer

Given,

Length of ladder = 4.5m

Height of the window = 4m

To FInd,

The angle that the ladder makes with the ground =?

Solution,

When the ladder is placed against the wall, a right-angled triangle is formed.

Length of ladder = Hypotenuse = 4.5m

Height of the window = Perpendicular = 4m

From the formula of sin θ, we have

sin θ  = Perpendicular  / Hypotenuse

sin θ = 4 / 4.5

sin θ = 4* 10 / 45

sin θ = 8 / 9

θ = sin^{-1}(8 / 9)

θ  = 62. 7°

θ  = 63°

Hence, the angle that the ladder makes with the ground is 63°. Option(d) is the correct answer.
