The swallow did not leave the prince and didn't go to Egypt because prince had become blind as he had given both his eyes. Swallow wanted to stay back and look after him. Swallow also wanted to help people. That is why swallow didn't go to Egypt.

Since the prince had given away the two sapphires of his eyes to the people in need, he had become blind. Touched by his kindness and to give him support, the swallow decided to stay with the prince always.
