∠A + ∠B + ∠C = 180°

⇒ 30° + 50° + z  = 180°

z = 100°

∵ DE II BC and AB is tranversal

∴ ∠ADE = ∠ABC   (Corresponding ∠s)

⇒ ∠ADE = y =  50°                                                                            (1)

Now, In Δ ADE

∠A + x + y = 180°

⇒  30° + x + 50° = 180°                                                            From   (1)

x = 100°
