STRATOSPHERE-

It is between 25 to 60 km away from the Earth.It is the second measure atmospheric layer above the troposphere, extended in altitude from about 8 to 30 miles high. No weather changes occur in the stratosphere. The stratosphere contains 15% of the total mass of the atmosphere and is where the Ozone Layer is located.

MESOSPHERE

It is between 60 to 120 km away from the Earth. Mesosphere is the layer above the stratosphere.

AURORA BOREALIS and AURORA AUSTRALIS

The lights are seen around the magnetic poles of the northern and southern hemispheres. Auroras that occur in the northern hemisphere are called 'Aurora Borealis' or 'northern lights' and auroras that occur in the southern hempishere are called 'Aurora Australis' or 'southern lights'.
