The poem 'for your lanes my country' is written by the poet Faiz Ahmed. He was born in Punjab in a very disturbed time, when there was war going on all around.

Although he was born in a family which was insanely rich, but like other cousins he didn't go to foreign to study. He studied in Pakistan's government college and in an oriented college. His poems are written in Urdu language.
