a) $F_{b(water)}$ = 5 N – 3 N = 2 N

b) We know, density of saline water is more than normal water. Also, more the density of the fluid, the more is the magnitude of Bouyant force.

$( F_b = - \rho gV)$ {in usual terms}

So, the new weight of the object can be 2 N (less than 3 N).

c) $F_{b(saline)}$ = 5 N – 2 N = 3 N.
