Please help. I do not understand what to do with this problem. A student was asked to find the number of nickels and dimes that have a value of $1.45. The total number of coins is 21. Letting x represent the number of nickels, the student wrote the following equation. 0.05x+0.10(x-21)=1.45. The equation is incorrect. I need to find the correct equation and answer it. Thanks.

Let the number of nickels be x and number of dimes be y.

x+ y = 21
