Answer:

7) w° = 127° , x° = 53°

8) x° = 98° , y° = 42° , z° = 40°

Step-by-step explanation:

I can answer only 7 and 8

7) 53° = x° [vertically opposite angles]

x° = 53°

53° + w° = 180° [Linear pair]

w° = 180° - 53°

w° = 127°

8) 98° = x° [vertically opposite angles]

x° = 98°

98° + 42° + w° = 180° [A triangle is equal to 180°]

140° + w° = 180°

w° = 180° - 140°

w° = 40°

w° = z° [Alternate angles]

z° = 40°

42° = y° [Alternate angles]

y° = 42°

Hope it helps you....

Step-by-step explanation:

In the first figure

w = 127 degrees. .........by linear pair

x = 53 degrees........ by vertically opposite angles

x + y = 180 degrees..... cointerior angles

53 + y = 180

Therefore, y = 180-53

y = 127 degrees

In the second figure

w + 42 + 98 = 180 ......by angle sum property of triangle

w + 140 = 180

there fore. w = 40 degrees

x = 98 degrees....... by vertically opposite angles

y = 42 degrees........ by alternate interior angles

z = w = 40 degrees...... by alternate interior angles

In the third figure

x + x + x = 360 degrees ....... addition of angles at a point

3x = 360

x = 360/3 = 120 degrees

x + y = 180 degrees..... by co interior angles due to parallel lines

120 + y = 180

there fore y = 180 - 120 = 60 degrees

Hence all the angles are found.
