Explanation:

using the right hand thumb rule(or maxwells corkscrew rule) we can say that the direction of magnetic field is perpendicularly downwards on rod B. now if we use flemings left hand rule we can clearly say that the direction of force acting on the rob B is pointing towards left hand side.

this would be vice versa for rod A, as the direction of magnetic field would be upwards and the direction of current is the same as rod B so the direction of force acting on the rob will be reversed when compared to rob B
