if key is removed then the rod stand still it does not move

according to the Fleming left hend rule if we reverse the direction of the current then the direction of deflection also reversed

if current and magnetic field both reversed then the deflection is remains un changed

if a stronger horseshoe magnet is used, then the strength of magnetic field will increase leading to greater force on the rod. And due to greater force, the displacement of rod will also be more.
