given equation 3x+ky=5 ----(1) this shows a line on the graph
i) if (1) passing through the point (-1,2) then
substitute x=-1, y=2 in (1)
3*(-1) + k(2) =5
⇒-3 +2k= 5
⇒2k= 5+3
⇒2k= 8
∴k= 8/2 =4

ii) if the line passes through the point (1,0)
put x= 1 and y=0 in (1)
3*1 +k*0 =5
3=5 [false]
therefore for any value of k ,
the line doesnot passes through the point (1,0)
